Credit Score Questions — Answered

Why do scores differ between bureaus?

Each bureau — CIBIL, Equifax, Experian and CRIF High Mark — collects data from lenders on slightly different timelines and may weigh factors differently, so your score can vary by a small margin across them.

Does checking my own score lower it?

No. Checking your own score is a "soft enquiry" and has no impact. Only "hard enquiries" made by lenders when you apply for credit can affect your score slightly.

How often should I check my credit score?

Once every 3 to 6 months is a healthy habit, and definitely before applying for any major loan or credit card, so you know your approval odds in advance.

What if my score is lower than expected?

We also offer CIBIL repair and dispute resolution — our team can help identify what's pulling your score down and guide you on fixing it before your next application.

Is this check really free?

Yes — the score check itself is free with no obligation. We'll only reach out to help if you'd like guidance on improving it or applying for credit.
